Bruno Licamele(She/They) is an interdisciplinary artst working in sculpture, installation, sound, performance, and painting. She is based in upstate New York and recently graduated from Bard College with a Studio Arts degree. Her work focuses on her body, and is rooted in the alchemical idea of transmutation, the action of changing or the state of being changed into another form. Through this idea there is a conceptual focus on transformations, gender, memory, and cycles of growth and decay. Bruno’s practice is materially experimental as she finds ways in which materialls can be transformed through different processes and reactions so that they can reach a new state of being. Her work stays in action, it is living, it is dying, it is growing and expanding just as much as it is shriviling away.
